Yes, you can fit a modern car key fob on the case. I'm using two hooks and a round key holder to secure it to the hooks. Inside both the case and pocket it still functions flawlessly. Sturdiness still seems a little bit weak. I had to replace the Big Skinny case after several years of constant use because too many hooks fell out.

My first case: the outside wore extremely well (tough nylon) but the mechanics did not wear as well. The key holders fell out but I was able to stick them back in. The metal U's that secured the key in the holder started to pop out and they were very difficult to re-insert. Thus, it was time for another case. Of all the key cases I have owned, these are still the best. I am hoping that they have improved the mechanics.

I love my taxi cat wallet and expected this to be as satisfying. It ISN'T. I gave it a good long time, but ended up throwing it away. The hooks don't stay in the case, but come loose with just the action of twisting the key in the lock. They also open easily. Happened with all of them. Large modern car key doesn't fit inside the case without squeezing to zip. The snap ring doesn't stay snapped. It's very lightweight and a great size. It just doesn't work. But if you want the best wallet on the markey, buy a Big Skinny wallet. There's nothing wrong with them.

This key case is exactly as advertised, well made, very nice.

Late model car keys are too long for this case

I have substituted this key case for my old separate wallet and keychain. As is, it's smaller and keeps my keys from digging holes in my pocket. I like the smaller size. It holds 3 keys and 1 car key/fob, and the interior pocket holds my license and about 6 credit/insurance cards. It's good to be able to unsnap the key/fob from the case for valets and to drive my car so that my keychain doesn't dangle while driving.

However, I would prefer a larger case that still fits in my front pocket. Many cars now use key/fobs rather than keys for remote entry and to start/stop. As is, the case is too small for 2 key/fobs. The key snap also looks like it can wear out. I suggest a permanent attachment with simple push/pull releases for each key/fob like you can find on regular key chains.

The case could be fitted with a Velcro tab on the pocket to keep the cards from falling out (it only happened once) and perhaps another Velcro tab to secure the case (instead of the zipper).

Finally, the pocket could be moved to the outside for convenience. I find myself regularly opening, closing, reopening the case to get keys or cards.

I wanted to like this item, but it's not sturdy. The zipper feels fragile, and one of the key hooks broke within a week. When the hook broke, the key attached to it fell as well; I almost lost the key. Note that I don't use either my wallets or my key chains hard, and the case barely had a chance to experience even normal wear and tear.

Not many men carry these any more...it is great!
