MEN'S RFID WALLETS
What is RFID, and why might you need a wallet that prevents it? Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is the wireless use of electromagnetic fields to transfer data, for the purposes of automatically identifying and tracking tags attached to objects.[Wikipedia].
In relation to wallets, it's the small chip that may be in your credit card and is in your passport. Many credit cards do not have this chip yet. It stores your information so it might be scanned when you go through customs or used to pay via scanning when you are at the grocery store.
While convenient, it's also accessible to data thieves who can scan your wallet or bag and retrieve your information. An RFID blocking wallet creates a faraday cage around your cards to deflect the signal emitted.
We have lined a collection of our wallets with this material, which is an incredibly thin polyblend of copper and nickel that protects from 10-3,000 MH so you can feel safer roaming the streets of Irvine, CA or floating on the Mediterranean.
And because we use an incredibly thin material, our notoriously thin wallets remain skinny, comfortable and lightweight to carry [unlike those other RFID metal wallets!].
